Happy Back to School, fall, autumn, late summer. The first day of school comes earlier and earlier on the calendar. All of our grands have begun the school routine. Becca has Murphy in first grade, Jameson in Pre-K3. Cady and her girls are into the daily homeschool rhythm with a new challenge, they got a new puppy! Rachel has welcomed her players back to the North Greenville Univ. campus. Our niece, Alaina has begun her freshman year at Liberty University.
As the kids are reviewing the basics, we are as well. God is on the move, and we want to be right in the middle of the work He is doing. Cru was started in 1951 with a 24-hour prayer chain. Our leadership is honing in on the importance of prayer, and we want to invite you to join us.
Thank you for your prayers for us and our family, and for the work God has called us to do. I have said it before, prayer is the most powerful tool in the Christian life. With it, we connect to God and participate in what He wants done. It is our opportunity to unleash the angels in heaven. It is our chance to be a part of ministry happening around the world. It is our glorious chance to be a part of people’s lives being changed!
Kellogg’s Fall 2025 Prayer Requests:
Would you please pray for us (and with us!) for these things?
- Andy is on sabbatical in August, September, and October. Please pray for him to be able to find refreshment in body and soul, and be able to begin his new job position (Director of the International Help Desk Team) ready to serve our int’l staff.
- Catherine is continuing to work in communications for the Campus Ministry: proofreading, editing, and writing. Please pray for her to have eyes to see, and wisdom in editing the work of others.
- Please pray for Andy and Catherine to see and seek the ministry opportunities around them.
- Please pray for continued health for Andy’s dad, Doug, (he turns 90 Sept. 28th); Andy and Catherine, and their family — Kevin, Cady, Khloe, Rylie, Zach, Becca, Murphy, Jameson, Preston, Rachel. Pray the same for Catherine’s mom, Barbara, and the extended Kellogg/Belcher families.
- Please pray for our continued health and safety as we desire to be in ministry for a very long time.
God Continues to Call College Students to New Life
89% of college students are on Instagram. Parts of our Campus Ministry are using this to reach incoming freshman students. Current students will reach out online, offering to help the new students find connection, Bible study, community, and more.
At one state university more than 70% of the freshman girls invited have responded positively to this outreach. Continue to pray for new students and faculty to come to Christ, walk with Him faithfully, and go out to tell others about Him.
Two years ago, our office in Orlando chose to pray for every university that did not have a Christian movement on their campus (Intervarsity, Cru, Navigators, Young Life, etc.) We were encouraged to choose a few, and at that time Andy’s brother was the doctor for Shepherds Univ. in Shepherdstown, W. Virginia, so I chose them. I have been following the movement on Instagram and it has been so cool to continue to pray for them. They have sent students to both an area fall retreat, and last year’s Winter Conference. God is working at Shepherd!
The World is Coming to our Doorstep
When you think about the number of people who live on our planet, (8.2 billion) one thing that often brings them together is sport. And one of the biggest sports in the world is soccer. (Football for those of you from outside the U.S.)
June 11—July 17, 2026, the FIFA World Cup will be played in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. From Seattle to Miami, LA to NY, Vancouver to Monterey, Boston to Mexico City. 6.5 Million People Are Expected to Attend!! The world is coming to us.
Please pray with us for the outreach efforts that will be made around the World Cup. Pray for those making preparations, writing and printing pieces in many languages, and for the teams who will be participating.
Thank you!
We continue to be in awe that God would continue to call us to this work with Cru. To keep at it, we depend on the partnership with you, our team of prayer and financial partners. We can’t thank you enough! We pray God’s blessings on you!
