Merry Christmas

Happy Jesus’ Birthday! Our wonderful, post-COVID year brought several great additions to our family We added two males to our tribe!! Jameson Daniel Greene-Rettig was born in April. He is a happy fellow with wonderfully kissable cheeks. Then, in September, Rachel married Preston Bailey. It was a great celebration in Charleston. All of their living grandparents were in attendance. Rachel says Preston also has very kissable cheeks. Ah, new love!

Andy and I still love our work with Cru, Andy in U.S. Technology and me on the Internal Communications Team for the campus ministry. In the summer we were able to help run the Cru U.S. National Staff Conference in Milwaukee. It is always a joy to be with 3000-4000 men and women who love God and want to serve Him. Milwaukee did not have the Rockies, but it has a Great Lake, lots of cheese, great places to eat, and a bronze statue of The Fonz!

This year we have seen God’s faithfulness in many ways. Andy and I have been “living on giving” for more than 38 years! Thank you so much!! We survived two hurricanes, Ian and Nicole, without any damage to our home from either water or wind. It was a joy having both of Andy’s parents and my momma at Rachel’s wedding. God was faithful to end my best friend’s battle with cancer in a peaceful, gentle way. Cathy Hertzler was my kindred spirit — we had tons of things in common, we also had different strengths and desires. She fought colon cancer for 11 years. And one night, God took her home in her sleep. I know she is cooking and decorating in heaven. I miss her daily.

Cady and Kevin are thriving as the parents of two smart, funny, lively girls (Khloe is 6, Rylie is 5). Becca and Zach are thriving as well, Zach got vey high marks as a Middle School health and PE teacher; Becca assumed leadership of her pre-school just before Jameson was born. Murphy (3) is also smart, funny, and lively.

Andy and I pray for you all regularly. We can not say enough how much we appreciate your prayers and partnership. We are excited to see what God in His faithfulness will bring us this coming year!

Catherine
