Happy 2015, New Years and Valentine’s Day. I hope I have mentioned lately how much we appreciate your prayers and participation in the ministry work God has called us to. Thank you, thank you!
Our year is off to a running start. Andy’s knee is improving every week. Cady and Kevin are thriving. We love having them so close. Becca is taking this and summer semesters away from college to reassess her direction. Rachel’s lacrosse season just started and she has already been mentioned in the local paper four times. The new team has come together well and the new coach is amazing.
Looking Back

I have a very fun app on my phone (don’t I sound all up-to-date and technical?) that looks back on my Facebook posts from years past. It will tell me that 5 years ago Rachel was in middle school and that 4 years ago I was grading papers for my stint at teaching Science. Many of the posts from two years ago were about getting ready for Cady and Kevin’s wedding on March 9, 2013.

What a crazy, fun, beautiful time in our family. One post from that year read, “Breathe in — breathe out.” Now, looking back, it all went so well, and so many were blessed, and we are so thrilled to have Kevin as a part of our family.
The Bible often encourages us to look back, to remember what God has done in the past in order to face today. In Psalms 77:11 David writes: “I shall remember the deeds of the Lord; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.”
God has been faithful to our family at so many times, not the least of which was the wedding. Friends helped us put on a BBQ dinner for 50 at our home. People came early on the day of the wedding to help set up the reception venue, and brought things home at the end of the day. God has continued His faithfulness through the continued healing and growth of both Becca and Rachel since that time.
Looking Forward
Colorado! Andy’s registration program has launched and the information team I work on is answering about 25 to 50 questions a day. It is an honor to serve our staff, especially being able to answer questions for newer staff who haven’t been to CSU before. Andy has been in many, many meetings and conversations about this summer’s conference.
Rachel and I took our first college visitation trip the end of last month. She is looking at schools where she can also play lacrosse. The school we looked at would be 10 hours away by car was snuggled in a beautiful valley and when we visited had temps in the low 30’s.
We are entering our 31st year of ministry and still love using our skills, talents and abilities to help others do what God has called them to do — whether on campus in Texas or the Ukraine; whether they are serving in a closed country or serving in the Black Hills. Again, thank you for your partnership in what God is doing around the world.
